Information we collect
When you visit, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site secure and working.
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply.
If you use "Use my location" in the store finder, your browser shares your approximate position with the page only, to sort stores by distance. It is not sent to us or stored.
Data stored in your browser
Several tools save information in your browser using localStorage, so it never leaves your device:
- Favourite items and favourite tools
- Weekly meal plans and budgets
- Tool preferences
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or at youronlinechoices.com.au.
Analytics
We may use privacy friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
Maps
Store maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address when the map displays, as part of a normal web request.
Retention
We keep contact messages for up to 12 months. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period for security.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or complain about how we handle it. Email hello@redroostermenu.au to make a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
