Red Rooster's allergen chart, information as of 14/10/2026.
Red Rooster cannot guarantee any item is free from traces of allergens.
Several fried items may be cooked in the same fryer vat.
Always tell staff about any allergy before you order.
Where to find allergens
Red Rooster publishes an allergen chart covering gluten, wheat, egg, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, soy, fish, crustacea, molluscs, sulphites, lupin and more, for its chicken, burgers, rolls, wraps, sides, snacks, desserts and sauces.
Cross contamination
In Red Rooster's own words, there is always a risk that traces of allergens may be transferred to items during processing, storage or preparation in its kitchens, so it cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces of listed allergens.
Shared fryers
Chicken and cheesy nuggets, chicken pops, buttermilk wings, potato chips, sweet potato, crunchy potatoes, hash browns and pineapple fritters may be cooked in a shared fryer.
Vegan, vegetarian, Halal and gluten notes
Vegan friendly (no meat, dairy or eggs), with a risk of cross contamination: chips with chip salt, sweet potato chips, crunchy potato, corn wheels, pineapple fritters and peas.
Vegetarian friendly (no meat or animal tissue): mash and gravy, coleslaw, chips, sweet potato chips, crunchy potato, corn wheels, garlic bread, pineapple fritters, chocolate mousse and most of the sauce range.
Red Rooster says its chicken is Halal certified from its suppliers: whole chickens, tenders, fried chicken, buttermilk wings, buttermilk pops and nuggets, plus its signature gravy and chips. Restaurants themselves are not Halal certified because cross contamination with non-Halal products cannot be ruled out.
No product is 100% gluten free because of wheat in the kitchen. Gluten friendly products (no wheat in the ingredients, cross contamination possible): dressed coleslaw, salted chips, peas, mash potato and Smokey BBQ sauce tubs.
Always check
Recipes and suppliers change. Before you eat, check the official allergen chart and ask a member of the Red Rooster team, telling them about any allergy. If you have a severe allergy, do not rely on this website alone.
